Trent Walton is founder and 1/3 of Paravel Inc., a custom web design and development shop based out of the Texas Hill Country.  When he’s not working on client projects, he’s probably writing & designing articles for his blog, co-curating DesignSwap, or contributing ideas for the next edition of TheManyFacesOf.com.

Maps: Though I don’t use this everyday, I find that having instant access to this mid-crosswalk or while driving down Loop 1 asking my navigator if I’m supposed to stay on or get off is essential.

Horror Vacui: The only game I have on my iPhone.  There was a time for about a month when I couldn’t go to sleep until I won 2 out of 3 vs the computer.  Soon, Mimeoverse will take this spot.

Hipstamatic: I rarely have the patience or time to run camera phone photos through photoshop, so this quirky little camera app comes in handy when you want to give your shots a dash of flavor.

Camera: This comes in really handy for sharing graph paper sketches with the Paravel team on days we’re not working from the same office.  After all, opening the scanner, situating your sketch and clicking scan is just too laborious.

Pandora: I love Pandora, though the Tom Petty station is way too general.

IMDB: I use this almost every day to track obscure actors all the way back to their guest starring roles on AirWolf.

EGO: The simplest way to keep up with web stats & traffic.  I’ve got Mint and Google Analytics for some of my favorite Paravel sites configured for regular monitoring.

Dropbox: Matthew Smith recommended Dropbox to me about a year ago.  I’ve got the iPad and iPhone versions for easy file access from anywhere.

Instapaper: One of the first apps I use when I’ve got some free time.  If I find a site or an article worth checking out during the workday, I’ll use the Instapaper bookmarklet to save it for later.

Fever: The other app I use when I’ve got a free moment, Fever is really the only way I’ve been able to take advantage of RSS.  I subscribe a lot, and using Fever’s “Hot” feature helps me find what I’d like to read without dealing with unread article counts.

Gowalla: This app has proven to be as useful as it is fun.  For the most part, I use this to brag about all the brilliant Texas food I’m eating.  Also, Gowalla is based in Austin, TX and I love to support local web/tech businesses.

Twitter: Formerly known as Tweetie, I love it no matter what you call it.
