Twitter: This used to be Tweetie of course but is first and foremost on my iPhone because I use it all the time. I must admit I quite like the new icon, it’s not as good as the original Tweetie icon but to be honest, that wasn’t brilliant either. It’s a just move by Twitter and it fits well. The app is of course, fundamentally still Tweetie and still the best Twitter experience on the iPhone.

Instapaper: This was one of those apps that I didn’t know I needed until I tried the free version, only to almost instantly buy the Pro version - I use it all the time on both my iPhone and iPad and couldn’t live without it now. Reading long articles in Instapaper is such a nice experience.

Things: My preferred task manager that does exactly what I need it to do. I don’t use it as much as I used to on the iPhone and the syncing is a bit of a pain, especially when I forget to do it.

foursquare: my favourite geosocial location-based networking checking-in gaming tipping discovering stalking app.

Attic: This replaced the iPod app as a great way to discover what music is on my iPhone that I haven’t been listening to. I have an 8GB and it houses a bunch of photos, tv shows and other apps that I really can’t store much music on it so this app combined with some smart iTunes playlists ensure music is never left unplayed on my device.

WriteRoom: I simply love the fullscreen writing environment in WriteRoom and use it on the Desktop as well. Plus, no bloody Marker Felt. Hooray!

Dropbox: Gives me access to all my work files when I am out and about, lately I have been designing for the iPhone and being able to launch mockups fullscreen at the proper resolution on the device is such a neat way to test.

Remindness: My personal project management app that I built a few years ago, it’s vapourware essentially and I’d like to get a working copy online for people to use one day in the not too distant future - although I’ve been promising that for a while. This is just a Bookmarked Web App.

Fever°: RSS at it’s best. I subscribe to a lot of feeds and the Hot tab within Fever is invaluable - the iPhone version off the full app is pretty good and again is only a bookmark to the web app.

Phone, Mail, Messages & Safari as expected.

Interestingly you’ll notice I have quite a few screens on my iPhone, these are based on groups and will in OS4.0 be folders of course.

Page 2 holds all of the default apps that come installed on the iPhone.

Page 3 has single purpose apps such as Tipulator, FlipTime, Remote etc.

Page 4 are apps that connect to the web, Facebook, Ego, Shazam and the like.

Page 5 hosts a bunch of bookmarks such as BBC News, BBC iPlayer, and my sites.

Page 6 is full of games Flight Control, Angry Birds, Strategery etc.

Double-clicking on my home screen does nothing - my home button is fubared, can’t wait for the new iPhone!
