Quite simply, the apps I use the most go on the home screen, which tend to be for when I’m travelling.
- Tweetie and Mail are where I spend most of my time. Twitter has practically become a second Mail client to me.
- Wikipanion, because I’m always looking something up - whether it be something I don’t recognise on a menu, or a building I’m visiting
- Air sharing is where I keep all my travel documents like PDFs of flight information and maps
- Maps is great for travelling, especially with the compass facility in the 3G S
- Clock because I use the alarm a lot
- Rolando 2, because the Rolando series are my favourite iPhone games.
- Pano to create panoramic images on the fly.
- Remote and Boxee for controlling the Apple TV (hacked to launch Boxee)
- I’m currently experimenting with Tumblr’s mobile blogging capabilities, and its iPhone app is wonderful. It even allows voice recording.
I used to have strict layouts, such as all camera apps in a row, but nowadays I don’t. I just know where to find the most used apps, and anything off the home screen is found with the 3.0 search facility.
