My iPhone has too many apps installed. Well too many for me to actually find them all. There’s a trick that you can do on non-jailbroken OS 3 iPhones to get more than the usual 11 pages. I’ve currently gotten mine up to 17 screens or 276 apps. Yeah, that’s too many. There are just too many great example apps.  I may not use them all that often, but I like to be that guy that shows you a great app that you’ve never heard of. So, I’ve got too many apps installed. Though the apps on my home screen and an ever changing list of new apps I’m checking out on the following 3-4 pages are where I spend most of my time. The archive apps are in the later pages. Needless to say, I use the Spotlight search to find most apps.

On the home page I keep the apps that I use most on the left and right columns. The ones in the middle are less used but still important enough to be on my home screen. The tray is pretty standard built-in apps. Inbox Zero be damned.

OmniFocus—what can I say about this app.  I live in it. I organize my life, my business, I keep reminders, I write blog posts in it. It’s amazingly useful for me. Not sure what I would be doing if it didn’t exist.

Next come the communication apps Tweetie 2, Beejive, and Facebook. These are the apps I use to keep connected. Tweetie 2 is my favorite Twitter client. Though I’m always trying out new ones. I use BirdBrain to keep my OCD satisfied.  Beejive keeps me connected on IM while away from my computer. And Facebook—it’s a love/hate thing.

Information apps like Instapaper and Reeder keep me informed. Instapaper has been a favorite since it’s first release. Love it and the execution is just perfect. Reeder is my current RSS reader of choice. It’s not perfect, but it has some of the features I need like Delicious posting.

There are no end to great photography apps for the iPhone. Snapture is my current favorite. Particularly like the rapid picture taking capabilities.
