Dan Lyons is a technology columnist at Newsweek and the creator of Fake Steve Jobs, the persona behind The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs, a leading technology blog. Before joining Newsweek, Lyons spent 10 years at Forbes. Over the past 25 years Lyons has written for a wide range of publications, including the New York Times Magazine, GQ and many technology trade publications.

My fave apps in no particular order are Facebook, Camera, Remote and Google Maps. I must confess I don’t spend a lot of time downloading new apps and looking around for apps. I love the video capability in the new iPhone 3GS, and use it constantly—I’m always making movies of my kids. (We have 4-yr-old twins.) It’s great to have a video camera right in your pocket whenever you need it.
