I love to keep my homescreen light and uncluttered. I used to display only applications with great icons but that was… well, idiotic. I’m pretty happy with the following selection since I use almost all of them daily.
-
Camera, Clock, Calculator and Settings: The basics. Settings is probably the only one I don’t launch every day but I like having it close when needed, especially for the wifi.
-
Things: Best icon on my screen. Aside from the lame wifi syncing, I think it’s the perfect GTD software. I can’t live without it anymore.
-
Gowalla: Recently became quite addicted to this geeky fun thing, even though I’m still not really sure it’s actually useful.
-
Twitter: Addicted. Not a huge fan of the icon and some weird UI decisions though, but the ex-Tweetie is still the best Twitter client on the iPhone in my opinion.
-
Reeder: I know, I’m that kind of old-school guy that still reads RSS feeds. Freshly switched from NetNewsWire to Reeder and I’m pretty happy with it so far. Not the perfect RSS Reader I could dream of, but it’s the best one I could find so far.
-
Phone, Messages, Safari and Mail: Nothing fancy here, just four great apps that perfectly achieve their purpose.
