iPhone Graph Paper
As I’ve been designing the iPhone-friendly version of First & 20, I noticed that I’ve been going through a lot of paper sketching out ideas. I would usually draw a rectangle about the same size as an iPhone screen and go from there. I soon realized that I wanted a more precise way to do this, so I created a template based on the iPhone’s specs and added a grid to help measure out the different elements. Notepod’s helped trigger this idea, but I wanted something a little less costly — something I wouldn’t be upset about throwing away if I messed up.

I’ve decided to make this template available to all. Just download the PDF, print at 100% (do not scale for actual iPhone size), and get to designing the next big app. I’ve also started a group on Flickr if you care to share your sketches (with or without using the templates, it doesn’t matter). It’s always fun to take a look at some of the apps when they were first sketched out.
